Role Overview
This role is part of Qualcomm’s compiler engineering team, where you’ll work on improving how software runs on advanced processors. It’s a great opportunity for freshers or early-career engineers who are interested in low-level systems, compilers, and performance optimization.
Responsibilities
● Work on compiler optimizations to improve software performance and memory usage
● Analyze system requirements and collaborate with hardware and architecture teams
● Design and implement solutions for next-generation processor architectures
● Identify and resolve system-level integration issues
● Work closely with development, integration, and testing teams
● Contribute to improving compiler frameworks and toolchains
Qualifications & Skills
● B.Tech / M.Tech / PhD in Computer Science or related field
● Strong knowledge of C/C++ programming
● Basic understanding of compiler design or willingness to learn
● Good problem-solving and analytical skills
● Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Must-haves
● Interest or experience in compiler development
● Strong programming skills in C/C++
● Understanding of system-level concepts
● Ability to learn and adapt to complex technical domains
● 5 months to 1 year of relevant academic or practical experience
Nice-to-have
● Experience with LLVM or GCC frameworks
● Knowledge of processor architectures like ARM, AArch64, or RISC-V
● Exposure to low-level system programming
● Academic or project work related to compilers or performance optimization
